Animal rights activists are against the use of silk.Why is it so?

it is so because silk is reared from the silk worm which is nowadays becoming endangered and animal right activists should ensure that animals like silkworms are not killed to extract silk from them fir human purposes

Animals right activists are against the use of silk. This is so because the silk is extracted from the cocoons that are boiled.This boiling process kills the growing butterfly inside the cocoons.This has resulted in many butterflies being endangered.
The animal right activists don't want the potential butterflies to be killed.So they are protesting against the use of silk.
Now a days cocoons are reared in large numbers,so that while some are used for silk extraction the others are left to grow into adult.
