Animals do not get energy directly from the sun they get energy from the sun indirectly because. Explaination: 1. They get the energy from the food they eat which is prepared by plants. 2. Animals cannot perform the process photosynthesis hence they depends on the plants for food 3. They also get energy by eating other herbivores and small animals.
