Such animals are called “omnivores" which translates literally to “all eaters". Human beings are at the top of that list, as are many other primates. Also included are many birds, a few fishes and some other mammals - most notably rodents. Depending on how you look at it, quite a few of what we consider carnivores, will consume the vegetable contents of the digestive tracts of their prey animals. Surprisingly few animals are completely obligate carnivores basically meaning they will eat only the muscle tissue, and perhaps the bone, marrow and a few organs, of their prey. Seems the desire for a “side salad" with their entree is not as limited as we would think.
