Animals exhibiting which level of organisation lead relatively more efficient way of life when compared to those of the other levels of organisation. Why?
Answers
Simplest to most complex animals are on different level of organization such as:
i. Cell level: in prokaryotes or eukaryotes, cell work as functional unit.
ii. Tissue level: cells combine to form tissues and these tissues perform their certain functions.
iii. Organ level: tissues combine to form organ. Each organ accomplishes its own tasks, such as, brain, heart, lungs, eyes etc.
iv. Organ system: some organs perform their function in coordination with other organs and form an organ system. Digestive system consists of salivary glands, stomach, liver, intestine, pancreas and rectum etc.
v. Whole organism: organism is the fully functional form of living being that can thrive in a particular environment. Either unicellular or multicellular it is the best level at which the organism as a whole can perform its all functions best rather than others.
