Radial symmetry is a basic body plan in which organism can be divided into similar halves. Radial symmetry is advantageous to seaside or slow-moving organism because in these animals’ sensory receptors are evenly distributed around the body, so they can detect any threat from all directions. The radial symmetry is also useful to the sessile organisms as they can just sit down and grab the food from all directions.

Answer:

Animals showing radial symmetry are diploblastic, sedentary or sluggish and can respond equally to stimuli that comes from all the directions. Thus radial symmetry is an advantage to the sessile or slow moving organisms.
