During the development the gut of the animals is lined with the mesoderm and this creates the cavity in them like the cavity present in us the humans.

Some of the animals have cavity but it is not called as the complete as mesentries are not present in them. While platyhelminthes are the animals which do not have any kind of cavity as during development cells fill out that space completely.
