Animals such as sponges and Hydra do not posses any circulatory system. The water in which they live brings food and oxygen as it enters their bodies. The water carries away waste materials and carbon dioxide as it moves out. Thus, these animals do not need a circulatory fluid like the blood.

Answer:

sponges belongs to phylum porifera.

and the organisms belonging to this phylum doesn't need any blood for respiration and food . because they have WATERCANAL SYSTEM which is a characteristics of this phylum porifera .

whereas Hydra not a Porifera it has cnidoplast cells helpful in circulatory system
