Yes animals depend upon plants for their food whether directly or indirectly . As herbivores are already plant eaters whereas carnivores which are flesh eater eat animals like herbivores (directly depends on plants ) or carnivores ( indirectly depends upon plants )while omnivores can eat both plants and meat .
