Let Original Price be = X
15% less X = 391
X - (15%X) = 391
X (1 - 0.15) = 391
X (0,85) = 391
X = 391/0.85
X = 460

Hope it helps ya!!

Answer:

460

Step-by-step explanation:

Anita buys a computer for $391 in a sale. The sale price is 15% less than the original price. Calculate the original price of the computer.

Ans:

sale price = $391

Percentage reduction= 15%

(now  we will take the original price as y. As it says 15% less we deduct or subtract 15% from 100% which gives us 85%. so that means 85% of the original price gives us the sale price thus to remove '%' we divide the number with 100 and we get an equation and next we arrange and solve it)

85/100 x y= $391

y =391 x 100/85

y= 460
