then, CP = x + 1840
SP = 8000
Loss = 1250
According to the formula :
Loss = CP - SP
1250 = x + 1840 - 8000
x = 8000 + 1250 - 1840
x = 9250 - 1840
x = 7410
So, the price of sofa set is Rs. 7410
