Anjum cuts a circle of radius 10 cm from a piece of square colored paper with a 30 cm side. Find the area of the remaining paper? (π= 3.14)
Answers
Given :-
- radius of the circle = 10 cm
- side of the square = 30 cm
To Find :-
- area of the remaining paper ?
Solution :-
we know that,
so, area of square coloured paper is 900 cm²
now,
so, area of circle which cut from the square coloured pare is 2200/7 cm²
now,
area of the remaining paper = area of square - area of circle
hence, area of remaining paper is 585.71 cm² or 4100/7 cm²
Given:
Radius of the circle ,r = 10 cm
side of square colored paper = 30 cm
To Find:
Area of the remaining paper ?
Solution :
We know that,Area of circle,A1 = πr²
A1 = 3.14 × 10²
[π = 3.14]
A1 = 3.14 × 100
A1 = 314 cm²
We know that, area of square colored paper,A2 = side × side
A2 = 30 × 30
A2 = 900 cm²
Area of the remaining paper,A = Area of square - Area of circle
A = A2 - A1
A = 900 - 314
A = 586 cm²
Hence, the area of remaining paper is 586 cm².
