Ann bought a pair of shoes for Rs (9x+ 7) and a skirt for Rs ( 6x - 5 ) .She gave Rs ( 100x + 2 ) to the shopkeeper. How much will she get back?

Answer:

Cost of shoes= Rs(9x+7)

Cost of skirt= Rs(6x-5)

Total cost of both the items= Rs(9x+7+6x-5)

= Rs(15x+2)

Money given to the shopkeeper= Rs(100x+2)

Money she got back= Rs(100x+2) -Rs(15x+2)

=Rs(100x+2-15x-2)

=Rs 85x.
