Solution :

Anna, Bobby, and Carl receive the money in the ratio 12:7:8

Let, Anna's share = 12$x$

      Bobby's share = 7$x$

  and Carl's share = 8$x$

∴ Total amount = (12+7+8)$x$ = 27$x$

∵ Anna's share (12$x$) = 504 $

                        ∴ 12$x$ = 504

                             $x$ = $\dfrac{504}{12}$

                            $x$ = 42 $

∴ total amount ( 27$x$) = 27 × 42 = 1134 $

So, The total amount is $1134.
