Anne's writing style was riddled with lots of satire and general humor. The way she was able to play around with her words in describing people and events, is an evidence of her prowess when it came to sarcasm. She skillfully uses sarcasm in her dairy to talk about her life and the people around her. An example of her sarcasm and humor is when she describes her sister Maggot - she writes; " ‘‘Margot doesn't need it (referring to Van Daan's parenting advice), since she's naturally good, kind and clever, perfection itself."
