Ans 1. A map is a drawing of the Earth on a flat surface. It can be drawn to show the whole

world, a country or a city or even our neighbourhood areas.

1519. Almost two years later their journey ended at the same place. The voyage proved that the

Earth was round.

Revolution

The earth moves around the sun On a fixed Path called The orbit. This Movement is called

Revolution. It takes 365 1/4 days to complete one Revolution. It causes change in seasons.

Rotation

The movement of the Earth on its own axis from west to east is called rotation. The Earth takes

24 hours to complete one rotation . It causes day and night.

1) A globe is an exact model of the earth
