(1)5x - 4 {x}^{2} + 3 \\ x = 0 \\ 5 \times 0 - 4 \times 0 + 3 \\ x = 3

(2) 5x - 4 {x}^{2} + 3 \\x = 2 \\ 5 \times 2 - 4( {2}^{2}) + 3 \\ 5 \times 2 - 4 \times 4 + 3 \\ 10 - 8 + 3 \\ x = - 5

AnSwer :

We have given that,

  • p(x) = 5x - 4x² + 3

And we need to find the value of the give polynomial at x = 0 and x = 2

To solve this problem we have to just simply replace the value of 0 in place of x in case where x = 0. So, Let's solve it :

↠p(x) = 5x - 4x² + 3

↠p(0) = 5(0) - 4(0)² + 3

↠p(0) = 0 - 4 × 0 + 3

↠p(0) = 0 - 0 + 3

p(0) = 3

  • Hence,the value of given polynomial 5x - 4x² + 3 at x = 0 is 3.

Similarly, taking x = 2 and simply plug the value of x in above given polynomial :

↠p(x) = 5x - 4x² + 3

↠p(2) = 5(2) - 4(2)² + 3

↠p(2) = 10 - 4 × 4 + 3

↠p(2) = 10 - 16 + 3

↠p(2) = -6 + 3

↠p(2) = -3

  • Hence,the value of given polynomial 5x - 4x² + 3 at x = 2 is -3.
