cos theta =4/5
by using the identity sin square theta + cos square theta equals to 1
we get sin theta as 3 by 5
therefore cot theta equals to cos theta by sin theta
we get cot theta as 4 by 3
cot square theta minus cos square theta equals to 16 by 9 minus 16 by 25 (taking the left hand side of the proof)
we get the answer as 256 by 225
then taking the right hand side
square theta into cos square theta equals to 16 by 9 into 16 by 25 which is equal to 256 by 225
so we prove that cot square theta minus cos square theta equals to cot square theta into cos square theta.
hope it helped
