a = x³y²

b = xy³

hence the highest common factor from a and b = xy² .

hence option number b

hope it help you !!

thanks !!

Reekaa: How can it be common
Reekaa: B doesn't contain x^3

Answer:-

________________________________
First of all What is HCF , HCF --> Highest common factor for the given two or more numbers ,which can divide all the numbers without leaving any reminder .
_______________________________

Now , Given that

a = x^{3} y^{2}

b = xy^{3}

Now common factor of both terms

= xy^{2}
& xy

Now as out of two common factor highest common factor is
= xy^2

option :- b

Anonymous: yes it is correct
