Point on x-axis is given as O(x, 0)

A(-3,4) and B(1,-4)

Let, OA = OB

Now apply distance formula.

 \sqrt{(x - ( - 3)) {}^{2}  + (0 - 4) {}^{2} }  =  \sqrt{(x - 1) {}^{2} +(0 - ( - 4)) {}^{2}  }

 \sqrt{(x + 3) {}^{2} + 16}  =  \sqrt{(x - 1) {}^{2} + 16 }

Now on squaring both side.

(x + 3) {}^{2}  + 16 = (x - 1) {}^{2} + 16

 {x {} }^{2}  + 6x + 9 = x {}^{2}  - 2x + 1

8x =  - 8

x =  - 8 \div 8

x =  - 1

Hence point is O(-1,0).
