what is difference between venom and poison?
Answers
Both poison and venom are toxins, because a toxin simply describes a biologically produced chemical that alters the normal function of another organism. There is one quick way to remind you of the difference between poison and venom: If you bite it and you die, it's poison. If it bites you and you die, it's venom.....
1] Venom:
Venom is to be injected into your body (skin) to harm you. If you swallow venom, you rarely face any issues with health.
Only living creatures can produce venom in their bodies. Examples are snakes, scorpions, spiders, etc.
If something bites you and you die, it was venomous. Well, you can bite it back without any risk.
That’s why a snake or a scorpion needs to bite you.
2] Poison:
Poison can harm you anyway. Even if you swallow, touch, inject, or even smell; poison will harm you for sure.
Anything can be poisonous: Mosquito repellents, toxic gases, plant excreta, pesticides, or even Rat kills are poisons.
If you bite something and you die, it was poisonous.
That’s why a poisonous frog can harm you merely if you touch it.
