we know that (a^2+b^2)=(a-b)^2+2ab
so,(x^2+1/x^2)=(x-1/x)+2×x×1/x
5+2=7
ii) as the formula,(a^4+b^4)=(a-b) × (
a^2+ab+b^2)
so,(x^4+1/x^4)=(x-1/x)×(x^2+1/x^2+x.1/x)
5×7=35(as we find the value of x^2+1/x^2 in (i)
