with the growth of the cotton industry in england following the industrial revolution, n with growing restrictions on imports on europe, the policies pursued by the british government destroyed indian textile industry......

1. raw materials produced was used to feed the british industries

2. restrictions were imposed on the growth of indian industries(preventing the products to be exported)

3. the indian traders had been eliminated from the foreign trade of india(generally, they were reduced to a minor position in internal trade also)

4. internal trade also declined
