Let the other rational number be x.

Atq,

-3/5 + x = -4
x = -4 - (-3/5)
x = -4 + 3/5 = (3-20)/5 = -17/5
x = -17/5

Verificatoon......

-3/5 + (-17/5) = -4
(-20)/5 = -4
-4 = -4

....thus, the solution for x us -17/5.
