first divide the polynomial by y-3 then factorise the quotient

let p (x) = y^3-2y^2-9y+18
one of the factors of p (x) is (y-3),
the other factors are
p (x) / (y-3) = y^2 + y - 6 = quotient
factorizing the quotient,
y^2 + y -6
=> y^2 + 3y - 2y - 6
=> y (y + 3) - 2 (y + 3)
=> (y-2)(y+3)
therefore the other factors of p (x) are (y-2) and (y+3)
