Given

(x + 1) is a fator of polynomial x³ + 3x² + 3x + 1.

To Find

We have to find the remainder when (x + 1) is devides x³ + 3x² + 3x + 1

____________________________

Solution

It is given that, (x + 1) is a factor of polynomial x³ + 3x² + 3x + 1

Then, x = -1

Now, Putting value of x in the polynomial.

\rule{150}{2}

⇒ (-1)³ + 3(-1)² + 3(-1) + 1

⇒ -1 + 3(1) - 3 + 1

⇒ -1 + 3 - 3 + 1

⇒-4 + 4

⇒ 0

∴ Remainder is 0.
