Answer:

ANS1. (2x-4y) - (2x-y)

=2x-4y-2x+y

=3y

ANS2. 5xy-(-2xy)

=5xy+2xy

=7xy

ANS3. (5a+3b) - (a-2b)

=5a+3b-a+2b

=4a+5b

ANS4. A=-8x+2y and B=6x-2y

A-B= (-8x+2y)-(6x-2y)

=-8x+2y-6x+2y

=-14x+4y

ANS5. 10xy-(-6xy)

=10xy+6xy

=16xy
