Answer:

(a) Marc Antony is allowed to make a speech at Caesar's funeral, under the following condition.

1) Antony's speech will come last after Brutus speaks.

2) Antony must not lay blame on the conspirators for Caesar's death.

3) Antony must reveal that he speaks with the permission of the conspirators

(b) When, Patol Babu got discouraged and disheartened to know the insignificance of his role, Jyoti, the young man who was in the shooting crew explained to Patol Babu that his role in the scene was quite crucial. He explained to him that Chanchal Kumar, the hero was a rising young executive. He had been informed that an embezzlement had taken place in his office, and he was to come to find out what had happened. He had to get out of his car and charge across the pavement towards the entrance. Just then he had to collide with an absent-minded pedestrian. Patol Babu had to play the role of that absent-minded pedestrian. He was to get hurt in the head and say "Oh!", but Chanchal Kumar had to pay no attention to him and go into the office. The scene was to highlight the hero’s preoccupation. So he tried to convince Patol Babu that his role was quite an important one.

(c) Michael’s father was a computer enthusiast. He would buy the latest gadgets to be up to date with the latest technology. His father had recently bought a new computer with advanced features. Michael also shared this fascination for games and gizmos with his father. Being such enthusiasts, they visited the computer fair.

(d) The Ancient Mariner had committed a sinful act by killing an innocent bird without any provocation. He was atoning and lamenting for his crime. He was of the view that if he confessed his guilt God would reduce his sin. Nobody was interested in listening to him. So he compels the wedding guest to listen to his confession.

(e) The irony in the poem is the fact that the ruler carved as a sculpture is depicted to be very powerful and tyrannous. He is shown to be boastful of the fact that he is the greatest ruler of all times. However, he hasn't been able to win over time. Time is shown here to be more powerful and destructive than the ruler. This ironical situation projects the truth that man doesn't have control over the laws of nature and time does not take into consideration the mount of power one possesses.
