Young Bismillah was fascinated watching his uncle practicising Shehnai when he was only three. He was deeply fascinated by the music of Shehnai. Soon Bismillah started accompanying his uncle Ali Bux, to the Vishnu Temple of Benares where Bux was employed to play Shehnai. Bismillah picked up the finer nuances of Shehnai and practised for hours on the banks of river Ganga. The themes of his music were deeply affected by the sound of flowing water of the Ganga. At the age of 14, Bismillah accompanied his uncle to Allahabad music conference where Ustad Fayaz Khan patted his shoulder which inspired and encouraged him to work harder.

Yes, the poet has painted a very true picture of the rain. It looks as if the poet was narrating his own experiences. It is a childhood image that the poet paints of lying down and listening to the rain. The poet also understands that he is lucky enough to be in a cozy bed. This, indirectly, tells us that he realizes that everyone is not lucky enough to have a comfortable bed and have to take shelter during rain wherever they can.
