This problem is based on linear motion and angular motion. Therefore we have to memorize equations in these two areas.

We have learnt relationship between linear displacement angular displacement which is,

Linear displacement = radius * Angular displacement

S=r\alpha-------- (1)

Angular displacement should be in radian for above equation.

And also question states that,

angular displacement = π/3

S = r\pi/3 (Using equation (1))

Answer : linear displacement = rπ/3
