To conserve flora some programmes undertaken are signified in indian history they are namely the chipko movement  and joint forest management  and also UNESCO plays a important role in protecting flora and fauna and Project tiger have helped in protecting tigers ,and there is also a non significant project namely project elephant ,protecting gharials ,animal welfare divisions and so on
