Evolution or organic evolution can be defined as a process of gradual changes in organisms to form more Complex organisms over a long period of time. it is naturally occurring biological process that results in development of more and more Complex life forms from simpler life forms over millions of years.

✔️ Evidences of evolution from homologous organs : the similarity between The structures of different organisms is called Homology.

Organs of different organisms, which differ in their functions but have same origin are called homologous organs for example :

-Wings of bat and Wings of bird
-arm of man and foot of horse

all these organs have same basic structure but are adapted for different functions these organs suggests that all organisms, once had common ancestors but due to varieties of Habitat and habits, they got adapted to perform different functions from their similar organs.

✔️Evidences of evolution from analogous organs : organs of some animals have similar functions but they differ in their structure, origin and development such organs are called analogous organs for example :

- the wings of insects and wings of birds
- fins of fishes and flippers of whale
-sting of honey bee and sting of Scorpion
- gills of fish and gills of prawn

these organs have no structural similarity, yet both perform the same function this suggests that organisms which are not closely related, may develop similar types of organs under similar habitats.
