Private  

• They are owned by individuals or a group.

• They can be operated on a small or large scale.

• They are highly competitive and commercial.

 Ex: Oyo  

Public

•They are owned by the government.

Ex: SAIL

Joint

•They are operated by the joint venture of the state and a group of individuals.  

Ex: Maruti Udyog Limited.

Co-operative

• They are particularly owned by producers or suppliers of workers or raw materials or both of them.

Ex: Anand Milk .
