1/ indicate when ball out of the play and is entitled to get corner kick or throw in the ball.
2/ Also assit the referee to control the game accordance with laws
3/The linesmen should be equipped with flags by the club on whose ground the match is played.
4/Also play the game with rules and regulations...

The duties of a Captain in Cricket according to me would be:
To have a strategy before the match begins
To have Plan A as well as Plan B, and Plan C as a backup one
To have appropriate field placements depending on the bowler and the line and lengthwhich both the bowler and the captain have planned
Also, to have field placements set at the right positions during the right Power-play
To use the available bowlers in the best manner possible
To set the field accordingly depending upon the batsman’s run-flow who is on strike
Bowling plan has also to be in its place, if that fails, then as mentioned earlier Plan B or C have to come into play
To make use of different bowling options, varying from a fast bowler to a swing bowler to an off-spinner., etc depending upon the run-rate
Motivate his players on and off the field to be mentally strong
Motivate the youngsters and make them believe in themselves to play fearless cricket
Also, to encourage the rest of His teammates to Bat/bowl/field with the right and positive approach
Boost the Morale in the team, thus the Confidence
Make the Bowlers/Batsmen/Fielders feel comfortable when they have been hit for plenty of runs (or) got out for a duck (or) dropped a catch respectively
Encouragement & Motivation, and Positive energy have to be given and created by the Captain himself to his teammates
Break and put a full stop to politicsbetween the teammates if that exists
