TO FIND:

The displacement & the distance of the no. of rounds of circle

ANSWER:

i) 1 round

1 total rotation = 1 round = circumference = 2πr = distance

Now,

Distance = 2π(10) = 20π = 20×3.14 = 62.8

Displacement : The distance between initial point & final point.

Displacement = 0m

Hence, distance in 1 round = 62.8m , displacement in 1 round = 0m

ii) 1.5 rounds

1 + 0.5 = 1 + 1/2

1/2 round of circle = distance of semicircle

2πr/2 = πr

Distance of semicircle = π(10) = 31.4

1 round of semicircle = 31.4m

Now,

1.5 = 1 + 0.5 = 62.8 + 31.4 = 94.2m

Displacement = 1 + 0.5 rounds

Already we have that 1 round displacement = 0

Displacement of 0.5 rounds = 1/2

Displacement of semicircle = diameter = 2(radius) = 2(10) = 20m

Displacement for 1.5 rounds = 0 + 20 = 20m

Hence, distance = 94.2m , displacement = 20m

iii) 2 rounds

2 rounds = 1 + 1

Already we have distance in 1 round = 62.8m

2(62.8) = 125.6m

Distance = 125.6m

Displacement of 2 rounds

Already we have displacement of 1 round = 0m

For 2 round = 2(0) = 0m

Hence, distance = 125.6m , displacement = 0m

iv) 2.5 rounds

Distance in 2.5 rounds = 2 + 0.5

Already we have distance in 2 rounds = 125.6m

And distance in 0.5 rounds = 31.4m

Distance in 2.5 rounds = 125.6 + 31.4 = 157m

Displacement in 2.5 rounds = 2 + 0.5

Already we have displacement in 2 rounds = 0m

And we have displacement in 0.5 = 20m

Displacement in 2.5 rounds = 0 + 20m = 20m

Hence, distance = 157m & displacement = 20m

v) 3 rounds

Distance in 3 rounds = 2 + 1

Already we have distance in 2 rounds = 94.2m

And distance in 1 round = 62.8m

Distance in 3 rounds = 125.6m + 62.8m = 188.4m

Displacement in 3 rounds = 2 + 1

Already we have displacement in 2 rounds = 0m

And we have displacement in 1 round = 0m

Displacement in 3 rounds = 0 + 0 = 0m

Hence, distance = 188.4m , displacement = 0m
