why x + 2 root x - 3 is not considered as a quadractic equation....explain me

quadratic equation is that who's leading term or highest degree is 2 but in x-3 and x-2 the degree is not 2 .so it is not a quadratic equation.

quadratic equation is in the form of ax square +bx +c but this is not in the form of an square +bx+c .Therefore it is not a quadratic equation
