A room is 8m60cm long,3m50cm wide and 2m40cm high. it has 2 doors measuring 1.4m×2.6mand a window measuring 2.2m×1.56m, find yhe cost of wall paper used on its wall which costs Rs.42 per metre square

Dimensions of the room = 860cm*350cm*240cm

Curved surface area = 2lh + 2bh

                                  = 2*860*240 + 2*350*240

                                  = 580800 cm²

Area of  two doors = 2*140*260

                               = 72800 cm²

Area of window = 220*156

                           = 34320 cm²

Hence total area where wall paper need to be used

= 580800 - ( 72800 + 34320 ) = 473680 cm² = 47.368 m²

Hence, cost = 47.368*42 =  Rs 1989.456
