3 - (2\ \frac{1 }{3}  + 2 \ \frac{3}{5} ) \\  = 3 - ( \frac{7}{3}  +  \frac{13}{5} ) \\  = 3 - ( \frac{(7 \times 5) + (13 \times 3)}{(3 \times 5)} ) \\  = 3 - ( \frac{35 + 39}{15} ) \\  = 3 -  \frac{74}{15}  \\  =  \frac{(3 \times 15) - (74 \times 1)}{15}  \\  =  \frac{45 - 74}{15}  \\  =  \frac{ - 29}{15}

So the answer is -29/15

or,

 - 1 \ \frac{ - 14}{15}

Hope this helps you.
