land use pattern in india is a dynamic concept .
it changes over space and time. these are three broad uses of land viz.
(a) agriculture
(b) industrial
(c) residential

the factors which determine land use are two food.
(1)physical= climate , soil ,relief .
(2)human= culture, traditional, technology.
the main cause for the change in land pattern are.
(a) growing human population
(b) urbanization.
(c) industrialization.
which then varies from state to state also the above mentioned factors are also responsible for the decrease in land under forest which is around 19% that I'd 14% away from 33%norm of u.n.o body on environment protection but a slight improvement after 1960-61 that is 22% of total geographical area.
