Given:-

ΔABC is a right angled triangle at B.

ADEC & BCFG are squares.

Formulas used :-

1) Euler's addition axiom

2) Simple geometrical logic

3) Triangle Congruence

Proof:-

Let us consider the triangles ACF & BCE for our proof.

BCF = ∠ACE ------(each 90° since angles of squares)

Now, adding ∠ACB on both sides, we get

BCE = ∠ ACF -------(i)

Now,

BC = CF & AC = CE ----(adjacent sides of squares are equal)

-------(ii)

So, from (i) and (ii)

ΔECB ≅ ΔACF ----(congruent by S-A-S rule)

(Side-Angle-Side rule of congruency of triangles)

∴ AF = BE ----(by C-P-C-T)

( corresponding parts of congruent triangles are equal)

Hence, proved.

Hope this helps you !
