HELLO THERE!

N is the number of particles per unit area per unit time, so dimensions of N = [L⁻²T⁻¹].

N₂ and N₁ are number of particles per unit volume, so their dimensions = [L³].

Z₁ and Z₂ are distances, so their dimensions = [L]

According to the principle of homogeneity,

an equation holds true when Dimensions of Left hand side equals dimensions of right hand side.

Dimensions of right hand side =

 \frac{[L^{-2}T^{-1}][L]}{[L^{-3}]}

= [L²T⁻¹].

So, dimensions of Diffusion constant D is [M⁰L²T⁻¹]

guest13: hiw you assumed Z1 and Z2 as distances

Rajdeep11111: Read the question properly, N1 and N2 are number of particles per unit volume AT Z1 and Z2. Moreover, I knew the formula of Diffusion constant, so I did it.
