Answer:

Question 1 :

To convert a fraction to a percent, first divide the numerator by the denominator. Then multiply the decimal by 100.

Question 2 :

50 - 6 = 44 eggs. This means that 44 eggs were good

100% = 50 eggs

1% = 50 ÷ 100

     = 0.5 eggs

44 eggs = 44 ÷ 0.5

              = 88%

88% of the eggs were good.

Question 3 :

100% = 250

1% = 250 ÷ 100

    = 2.5

35% = 2.5 X 35

        = 87. 5

35% of 250 is equal to 87.5.

Question 4 :

Original price of the machine = ₹5200 + ₹375

                                                 = ₹5575

100% = ₹5575

1% = ₹5575 ÷ 100

    = ₹55.75

₹5200 ÷ ₹55.75 = 93.2735426%

100% - 93.2735426% = 6.7264574%

6.7264574% in 2 decimal places can be written as 6.73%

Therefore, the original cost of the machine was ₹5575, and the shopkeeper faced a loss of 6.73% (rounded off to 2 decimal places).

Question 5 :

Principal = 2125.
