The history has been divided into several parts that were known as periods. It was divided so that we could easily understand about our history and the common things happen during a particular period.
There were several developments during the period:
1. Relegious development: the period was witnessed as a revival of hinduism. Relegious reforms in the form of bhakti and sufi movements were are emerged.
2. Economic development: introduction of more systematic assessment of land revenue system.
3. Political development: establishment of delhi sultanate, setting up of mughal empire, feudalism or the custom of granting land to nobles by the rulers who could get tribute and military help in return was a significant political trend of the period.
