i)
R1= 10 ohm
R2= 20 ohm
R3= 15 ohm
R4= 20 ohm
R5= 30 ohm

R1 and R2 are in parallel
"" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" ""
1/Total Resistance = 1/R1 + 1/R2
1/R12= 1/10 + 1/20
1/R12= 2+1/20
1/R12=3/20
R12= 20/3 = 6.6 ohm (approx)

R3 and R4 and R5 are in parallel
"" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" ""
1/Total Resistance = 1/R3 + 1/R4 + 1/R5
1/R345 = 1/15 + 1/20 + 1/30
1/R345 = 4+3+2/60
1/R345 = 9/60
1/R345 = 3/20
R345 =20/3 = 6.6 ohm (approx)

Now, R12 and R345 are in Series
"" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" ""
R12345 = R12 + R345
R12345 = 6.6 + 6.6
R12345 = 13.2 ohm (approx)

Total effective resistance is 13.2 ohm

ii) Using Ohms law
I = V/R
I = 10/13.2
I = 0.75 A (approx)

Total current flowing is 0.75A
