Answer:

1. A ball bearing is a type of rolling-element bearing that uses balls to maintain the separation between the bearing races.

The purpose of a ball bearing is to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads

2. Machine parts are frequently oiled or greased to reduce friction and help in the smooth running of the machine. Continuous usage of any machine results in friction in their parts which ultimately leads to wear and tear of the machine parts.

3. In a worn out tyre, there is reduction in friction between road and tyre, due to which car may slide during breaking.

The new tyre has treads, which helps maintain the friction. In a worn-out tyre, these treads are no longer present. Also, these tyres might burst due to any sharp objects. These may lead to severe accidents.

Hence, worn out tyres discarded.
