In triangle ADB and ADC ,
AB = AC
<B = <C
<ADB = <ADC
therefore ,
triangle ADB is congruent to triangle ADC
BD = BC
BD = DC = 1/2BC
Since triangle ADB is a right angled triangle
therefore ,
AB^2 = AD^2 + BD^2
AB^2 = AD^2 + (1/2BC)^2
AB^2 = AD^2 + BC^2 / 4
AB^2 = AD^2 + AB^2/4
3/4AB^2 = AD^2
3AB^2 = 4AD^2
Hence , proved
