(i) During the first 2 seconds = 4.6/2= 2.3ms¯²

[acceleration = velocity/time]

(ii) Between second and sixth second= (no acceleration) as velocity remains same.

(iii) During the last two seconds= retardation = 4.6/6-8 = 4.6/-2 = -2.3ms¯²

Acceleration = - 2.3ms¯² or retardation = 2.3ms¯²
