given :-

base radius of the conical vessel = 5cm

slant height of the conical vessel = 13cm

we have to find it's volume and formula to find the volume of a cone is "1/3πr²h"

so first of all, let's find it's height.

by Pythagoras theorem we get,

➡ l² (slant height) = r²(radius) + h²(height)

➡ 13² = 5² + h²

➡ 169 - 25 = h²

➡ h² = 144

➡ h = √144

➡ h = 12

thus, the height of the conical vessel is 12cm.

now it's volume = 1/3πr²h

 \tt =  \frac{1}{ \cancel3}  \times 3.14 \times 5 \times 5 \times  { \cancel{12}}^{4}  \\  \\  \tt = 3.14 \times 25 \times 4 \\  \\   \tt= 314 {cm}^{3}
