Given : AD bisect angle A.
So, angle BAD= angle CAD
AD perpendicular BC
So, angle ADB= angle ADC(each 90°)
To prove : ∆ABC is an isosceles∆.
Proof:In ∆ ABD and∆ACD
AD=AD(common side)
angle BAD=angle CAD(Proved above)
angle ADB=Angle ADC (proved above)
So, ∆ADB congruent ∆ADC(ASA congruence rule)
Hence, AB=AC( By CPCT)
Hence, ∆ABC is an isosceles triangle.
