A simple pendulum makes 10 oscillations in 20 s. What is the time period and frequency of its oscillations?( Ans 2secs. and 0.5 Hz )

1.The period is the duration of time of one cycle in a repeating event, so the period is the reciprocal of the frequency.

Here, a sound wave is vibrating at frequency 50 Hz. Hence, the time period T = 1/f = 1/50 = 0.02 s.

2.Time period = Time taken by the pendulum/Number of oscillations made by the pendulum.

Time period =20/10

=2s

Frequency =1/Period

Frequency =1/2

=0.5Hz
