Difference between saguna and nirguna:

Nirguna:

Nirguna is not associating God with certain attributes.

Nirguna refers to the infinite and omnipresence of God beyond space and time.

Nirguna Brahman was preached by Adi Shankracharya.

Saguna:

Saguna is associating with any attribute.

Saguna is when Brahma himself presents as Param Atma and then he created Yogmaya and 3 Guna viz Rajas, Sattva and Tamas.  

Saguna was given by Dvaita of Madhvacharya and Vishistadvaita of Ramanuja.

Nirguna and saguna are considered as different limbs on which different philosophies were propounded of Indian culture.
